Itchy palm and painful fingers

Since starting this PMR journey in June I have noticed that my fingers have started to become more painful and stiff and my palms quite itchy. I'm guessing it's a side effect of the Pred, at least for the itchy palm bit, but is this encountered by others. Tends to be more pronounced on my left palm and fingers.

I get itchy hands now and again - but not consistently enough to say it is due to pred and my fingers don't swell.

Before I was diagnosed with PMR the Doc and I thought it might be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but that then became just another symptom mopped up by PMR. Didn't have the itchy palms then though, and likewise I don't get swollen fingers they just become achy and stiff to move. (probably need WD40!!) Worse in the mornings but can/does appear at any time of the day.

WD40 for people: Flexiseq! Designed for knees but since you apply it with your hands and then wait 10 minutes before moving people discovered their hands felt loads better too. jinasc swears by it. Not cheap but worth a whirl.

I have an itchy palm and a tiny red mark. I keep waiting to come into the money my mother said it meant.

Which is it? Left or right ...

Mainly left

That means you are giving money, not receiving ... ;)

I'll keep hoping for you. Now I've looked my palm/s do have lots of little red marks, however I have no idea whether they are new or not. I'll just see what happens. It is strange though, a general mild/irritating ache and a tingling sensation at times.

Mines on the right but I am ridiculously generous to my family. I just find myself scratching away now and then.

So you buck the trend - as do I, itchy right hand, always giving the money out not receiving ... ;)

That’s about right! 🤑

Guess it doesn't really matter where the itching is, the money flow is always one direction - out!!!!

Yet another another dilemma to add to the list. Out of the left into the right then I guess into the shopping or similar!!

Right. I receive plenty from Amazon ( paid for by me). I must have read 100 books since lockdown.
