Waste of money IMHO - use google to find websites with recipes. Loads of them and free much of the time. I often think a recipe book looks good only to find one or two recipes that are any use - sometimes the ingredients are not available easily or affordably, or the dishes just don't appeal. Some writers are very prescriptive about what you must or can't use - often without any good evidence to back it up.

Learning what foods are good or perceived to be bad is a better approach and then adapt your own cooking style. Above all, avoiding sugars and simple carbs is a good start. And a bit of diary keeping and trial elimination helps. Often certain food groups are blamed - but I have tried omitting the nightshade veggies which made not a jot of difference except to make my diet very restricted and boring!

Thanks, thought so. A lot of those books on Amazon have mixed reviews. I have been using the Diabetes UK recipes online so will not waste my money.

There’s some great recipes online & you can print off the ones you like. I’ve enjoyed a lot of these recently!

I agree that these day it's more productive to look for recipes online. One of the best food websites in the world is BBC Good Food. If you create an account you can save recipes that you like. They give a useful nutritional profile of every recipe and carry lot of articles about different aspects of food and cookery. This is one that might be of interest to you: bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide...

I agree. I have loads of cool books but for quickness resort to BBC GF as very easy to follow.

I compiled a low carb recipe book for a diabetes forum a few years ago - if you want I can send you a copy (if I can find it)
