Recommendation for a rheumatologist

Can anyone please recommend a private rheumatologist specialising in PMR in the London area?

I’ve lost faith in the NHS at Mile End Hospital ever since the young Italian doctor told me there was no pain associated with PMR only weakness.

He needs to do some reading - because the official line is that it is NOT weakness, objective testing shows that. It is lack of power associated with the muscle pain.

I'd recommend Rod Hughes in Chertsey - does private and NHS and will often transfer people who come privately to his NHS list. Really nice guy, listens and is involved in research

Hi would agree with PMRpro. Rod Hughes is my Consultant Rheumatologist and he always takes the time to listen and is very friendly and professional.
