Hi,have been following post for a while, have lived in Greece the last 16 years, just over 2 years ago after progressive pain in shoulders, thighs, hips make at age 64 I did some googling and took myself off for crp and tke tests, got results 2 hours later,7.18 & 47,nice man said "I think you need to see somebody" so googled local rheumatologists, chose a woman doc who had worked in sweden for several years, showed her blood tests, she examined me,explained about pmr, drugs, bones etc, started 30 mg presolon next morning, the day after I was pain free, been gradually tapering and after a slow intermittent dose of 5mg and 3.75mg am currently on 3.75,slight problem looming as we only have 5mg tabs here,so being well, next step will have to be 2.5mg,is it possible to dissolve tabs then I could take dose in mls

any tips greatly appreciated

Do you have compounding chemists in Greece? Here in Italy certain chemists will make up various doses for you by grinding a lot of higher dose tablets and replacing them in capsules. It is a very useful service!!!

I doubt they will dissolve - the fillers that make up the bulk of the tablet to make it big enough to handle are almost certainly not soluble. Most countries would have a soluble verson for children or anyone with swallowing problems but they are usually much more expensive relatively speaking.
