Whenever I take Alendronic acid, shortly aftwards (15-40 mins), I expérience unpleasant loose motions in the bowel department. Is that normal, do others suffer that?

It is right up there at the top of the common side effects along with wind and nausea and other gastric trouble. I would talk to your prescribing doctor. I think you can have it intravenously. You wonder about absorption. I must say if I had agreed to take it, it would be on a very short leash. Why do these drugs have to be so horrible?
My sister did, both ends, even after following the instructions. She ended up on infusions.

It can't be the drug being present in the lower gut doing it - it is still in the stomach at that stage. Does this happen with anything else? After eating for example? Then it is called a gastro-colic reflex but that usually is because of a decent volume in the stomach.
It could be an allergic response to something in the make-up of the pill, possibly the active substance itself but it could be any of the filler substances. I would definitely speak to your GP about it. If it is an allergic reaction it could get worse.
