Deliveries

I have just read that the virus can stay on some things for 72 hours. Can someone please tell me how we can have groceries delivered without these things being involved:

glass, tins, cardboard and plastic???

SORRY - I 'thought' I'd put this on the virus thread. However, it also applies to people with PMR/GCA.

But it's covid and there were lots of discussions about it. One from blearyeyed was good and pixix too. I will pm you with the links shortly.

Hi Poopadoopy

'No and in UK all slots filled forever it seems. Opening each week...gone in seconds.'

I contacted Waitrose last week and explained that any of their older customers could not get to the store no matter what time they specified.

I had a reply within two days. Those over 70 and have been a customer for many years...........were going to be catered for.

I don't know how they have done it - but they have and I have been able to order yesterday and it will be delivered on Thursday. They have also put on the goods you want to order............limited amounts, which I think is brilliant = rationing by good solution. So if you try to order, more than 6 items of frozen stuff - it just says no and automatically downgrades it to 6. Well I had to try it out..........didn't I. Clever techies.

I wonder if others in my situation, emailed their chosen store and ask the question.

Now I do not know how this is appearing in bold.....................so I give up.
