UK ...ICELAND HAVE OPENED SLOTS FOR VULNERABLE AND ELDERLY...GOING FAST.

Hope I'm not too late for today's Covid posts but I wanted to let people know that here in the UK Iceland are doing special home delivery for the elderly and vulnerable you have to tick the red box when you sign in. I got a slot wiithin 36hours and got milk, yogurt and other useful things. Only one substitution which was quite acceptable. Their range is limited but quality seems alright and fruit seems good and fresh. In normal circumstances it wouldn't be my supermarket of choice but for the moment I'll stick with them. Hope this is helpful to anyone despairing of getting anything on line.

I'll soon be down to my last baked bean, so thanks for posting! I went immediately and placed an order and filled in the Vulnerable slot. Of course all delivery slots are unavailable, but thanks to you Maria40 I have my order ready to go when it can.

It's a pain everywhere. I ordered a delivery about a week to ten days ago which won't be delivered until 9th April. I check every couple of days and there are at least 10 items removed. I keep having to chop and change.

Don’t know who you shop with Poopadoopy but I found this was happening all the time with my Tesco order. Near the end of the time I found I was left with very little. I also use Morrison’s and they are totally different. My son in law thinks it is because Tesco pickers take from the shelves and Morrison’s from the warehouse so you are more like.y to get your full delivery. A bit academic at the moment because unable to get any delivery of any kind. I am registered with 5 delivery firms as over the last 8 years I have used them all for myself or my mum, living a distance away. They are all chockablock.

When I first placed my order with Iceland it looked as though that was the case here but I clicked on each day in the list and slots came up. Maybe that has changed but it might be worth having another look.

Hello maria40 . Many thanks for the Iceland info, it has been very useful. So much easier to use than the supermarkets, and delivery tomorrow. Thanks again. Trevor.
