Dear HeronNS,

I have a large Selection of DVDs, along with many recordings. I don't have many actual 'Boxed Sets', except Morse, Johnathan Creek and Wire In The Blood and ALL the House DVDs (96 of them) Though I DO have a Sir Norman Wisdom set.....

The most interesting set, that I only recently bought, is about the NASA missions. Originally from the Smithsonian Channel (now available, in the UK, by the way), it charts the American Space Race. I have War Films, Carry On Films, a set of Iconic Films... just hundreds (thousands) of Films. Then there are books, yes REAL Books... made of Paper! I have light reading, The World's Worst Poetry, through The Adrian Mole series and Auto Biographies all the way to The Complete Works of Shakespeare.

I write Poetry, as 'poemsgallore1' will testify, I draw, paint, use Wax Crayons.... and, of course, I come on here😊.

I have also, only recently, bought a Lovely New Shower Head- it has 'Round Rocks' in it,

which have 'Spa' properties. The unit also allows air into it, as the water goes through, producing a 'Beautiful Soft Wash'. (Let me explain further.... If it is raining, apparently only 'a little' however, you come back, absolutely Soaked- that kind of effect.) So, that's me, for- well probably an Hour tomorrow!

I Cook, which I enjoy a lot, I do Washing and Ironing- which I don't mind... Cleaning, erm well erm…. best NOT dwell!

I have a, very interesting, 'Make your own Monopoly' set.... I believe you Decide what goes where and for 'How Much'. I won this, on a Headway Christmas Raffle. NOW might, very well, be a Good Time to try it....

Now the weather is improving, theoretically anyway, I can Wash the 'Under Sheet', 'Over Blanket', All the 'Bits and Pieces' from the laundry basket.

So YES Heaps/ Loads to 'DO'.... That will take a 'Month Of Sundays', No Excuse then....

Personally, I have just Picked Up my Prescription- except a couple of Things. I've also Ordered another 'Lot' too. I'll worry about Picking These Up, later on... I might even ask our Staff and Sort 'Something Out' with them.

One 'thing' at a time... Currently, I'm getting ready for BED- it's nearly mid-night.

Isn't it more like 2 a.m.? It's nearly 10 here and we are 4 hours behind GDT. You certainly do have a lot to do. For months I've been reading (and rereading) my way through my extensive library. Not as extensive as it was before a major downsize a few years ago but enough to be getting on with. Also I draw, play the piano, do needlepoint, exercise, and waste an awful lot of time on the internet.

I did the Hermitage Your 14 years ago. I had snapped a tendon and a new op (transferring a ligament) meant no foot to floor for 6 months. One room a day and the roof everyday.

The tour was the best replacement, as we had booked to go to St Petersburg, the Venice of the North. Never did get there, because foot healed and two months later 'GCA'.

No, not stress related, I think genetic as my Mother had both at 81 - 21 years before it decided to pay me a visit.

My stepmother took me on a cruise in the Baltic. It was the year of Hurricane Katrina, whenever that was, because we got word of it while we were still away. The Hermitage was quite a highlight! She had chosen that trip because of wanting to see The Hermitage but sadly she didn't get to see it. She slipped on the gangway as we were heading to the buses and hit her head. It was one of those awful moments when everything goes in slow motion, including my arm as I reached out to catch her, and failed. Immediately aid came and I was left with an instant decison to make. Do I stay with her, where there's nothing I can do, and she'll be well looked after, or do I go and take lots of pictures and buy the book and the DVD? Of course I went. When I returned she was high on demerol and quite sweet, and I could see really for the first time ever what other people saw in her, because she wasn't usually kind and sweet to me!

Thank you so much! Much better than the list I've been working through... I've cleaned the oven; I've steam cleaned the floors, bathroom and kitchen; and today I'm washing the sofa covers. Quite therapeutic, but not as much fun as your list, which I will enjoy much more :-)
