Hi, I don't know if you can read off the computer but here is a discussion about the different amd treatments. It is an older discussion but may help. Just click on the link and accept the cookies for now.

It sounds like you have some sort of post nasal drip which is incredible irritating and can make you have a tickly cough. You can use a nasal spray. I use saline thats used for babies that I get from the chemist. You will see a few treatments you can do at home and get at the chemist's in the article linked below. One thing that helped me when I had a severe post nasal drip having a piece of a cotton sheet I used over my pillow case that I washed daily. It just stopped any dust getting up my nose. I also made sure I had a bowl of water near the heating source, if NOT Electric of course! Hope fly you will get a lot of ideas from the forum. But here's some readi g... Again. Sorry but it explains better than I can. I hope this helps.

Hi ballyboy. It isn’t so much that one is better than the other but if you haven’t had a good response from Lucentis then they will often switch to Avastin. They are not dissimilar in molecular make up but sometimes one will work better than another. The main thing is that you are still being treated regularly. The aim of the injections is to halt the wet macular degeneration and change it back into the dry type which is more stable. Unfortunately only a small percentage of people regain sight with the injections but they will be trying to stop it getting worse. The important thing is to attend regularly and try not to miss any appointments as speed is of the essence if things change. I do hope it stabilises but some eyes are very stubborn and don’t play by the rules. A bit like PMR!

My dad had a wer and dry eye but tried to tough it out so to speak. He was told if one went bad overnight he never attempted to get the treatment.... It'll be right... Said he. Until the day we took car keys off him.

It’s a bit like GCA. The minute one sees a change in vision with AMD you should seek immediate attention. The sooner the injections are started the better the outcome. And......don’t get me started on those driving when they don’t meet the DVLA requirements! 😡 Well done for taking action on that score as it’s not an easy one.

Yes it took tough talk of him killing someone who could be his or someone else's grandchild. My sister took his car.
