Any one any information on taking Probiotics with GCA, eith for or against.

Manuka Honey, labelled UMF and highest number you can afford, I teaspoonful daily. Natural anti-biotic.

It is especially with a good yoghurt, like Yeo valley pro biotic which does not keep for longer than two weeks.

I use them if I have to take antibiotics, otherwise I eat whole milk organic yoghurt and make kombucca. I also eat a lot of food that supports healthy gut flora.

Hi, I do. I take a pro-biotic, eat lots of kefir yogurt and drink a kefir drink everyday, but I don't take Lansoprazole anymore....

Yes , we highly recommend taking your Steroids with a "Pred Breakfast" of probiotic live yoghurt and a little Manuka honey .

Some people also use extra Pro and Pre biotic foods or supplements.

Many people who did not suffer from stomach related issues before getting GCA or PMR find that using yoghurt with their medications , and sometimes before a meal can mean they don't need to use the PPIs or other stomach settlers.

We also recommend a low sugar , low white carb diet to help to improve gut health , digestive symptoms and reduce weight gain.

The only thing I can offer is that my primary care physician (I'm in the states) asked me if I was taking any and when I said no, he suggested I get some. I'm on Medrol and injections of Actemra for GCA.

I experienced nothing negative~~only positives~! My eating habits leave a lot to be desire🌸🌸
