Exercise and me!

Why is it that if I walk for 30 minutes in a day I am in agony the next day (I usually walk comfortably for 20 minutes). BUT, I have been stuck in the house for 4 days because of gales/storms and the pain is even worse (even if I get up and down, walk round the flat etc etc).

Cold , Damp , Tension from being penned in and much more in this Stormy weather.

You are also probably just not up to the point of walking for 30 mins. If 20 mins is your comfort zone for now , thats the level you stick at, as it will do you a lot more good physically to enjoy the walk without the agony.

Pain after exercise shows that you are doing too much.

You can always start adding a minute at a time when you feel up to it .

Hope you feel better now the sun is trying to come out again.

Not here it isn't!

And at my age things don't seem to get better, only worse!!😬

Who's grumbling though - I'm still alive (I think)!😂

I think you are so pleased to get out you/I overdo it. If I start getting achey after a walk I change direction the next walk or a different walk. I think my body just gets used to a walk and gripes. If I am stuck for 3 days it's agony.

Me too. I can do water aerobics for 40 minutes. Walking exhausts me.
