Pain in my feet! Tapering? Osteopenia?

I've been tapering prednisone. Down to 16-now, and have new sharp pain in the top of one foot. The pain radiates through the toes and worsens with weight bearing throughout the day. I have had no injury to my foot. Any idea? I've read that 40 percent of gca patients experience pain in hands or feet. Does anyone relate to this? It's been going on for two weeks.

Foot pain was one the the first pmr symptoms I had.... It was like having bound feet walking on pebbles and glass. It was bilateral though. It could be that you had torn some trndons/ligaments. Have you tried Rice for a few days to take pressure off?

I'm assuming you mean Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation????? Rather than a Chinese takeaway ... ;)

,🤣😂🤣 Yes it took my capital letters away but not my assumption everyone would know what it is.

Add dots between the letters????????? R.I.C.E. Or delete and retype sometimes works.

I thing full stops may work best. The phone just takes capitals away.

How rude!!! I hate it when google asks me "did you mean ..." - er, no, I know what I meant which is more than you do ...

Yes.. My phone is often rude and possessive with its comments. I have an echo dot now that talks to me. Its a bit gabby but useful for alarms etc.

It is when you are not asked at all and what you have written is totally different to what you thought you had written which really gets me.

There was a programme on radio this week giving some translations of Welsh into English. They were unbelievable.

I had a similar sort of foot pain to what Scoopitup describes together with sharp pains like yours but it always affected both feet.

Could it be Morton's neuroma:

I hope not. I've had that in the other foot years ago. This pain started higher up.

I too am tapering, from 50 to 15. I have been recently experiencing spasms under my right foot toes....neuropathy?? This ride is like being on a rollercoaster.

I get that. Try tonic water with quinine. It's great for mine.

if you have osteporosis you may have a hair line fracture on your foot. I recently stumbled( didn't fall over) & issues started about 1/2 hour later. The stumble was so insignificant that I didn't associate it with the foot pain ( blamed it on new sandals I had been wearing at home. ) Then the whole thing gave way when I stood at an odd angle in gum boots (I.e Wellies). I still never dreamt my foot was broken as didn't think Id done anything to break it, & walked on it for 3 days. So I think you should see your GP & get an X Ray
