Off pred

It has been decided I don’t have GAC. Was on 50 mg for 13 days. Of course biopsy neg after 6 days on pred. Ophthalmologist couldn’t find anything yesterday. My esr 10 and crp .9 after 2 days 50 pred. Rheum took me off pred starting today by message. I still have somewhat tender scalp at temple and feel like I’m waiting for the bad to happen. Don’t know what to do

The only thing you can do - is follow instructions, note any occurrence so you can explain want happened to whoever you need to, and if really worried go to ER.

As DL says you just need to follow the plan as some people have had to do here. On the good side at least if you have to be re-seen, GCA has already been flagged up once so you’re not starting from scratch. If you do get worse without Pred, then that is more evidence of with and without Pred, tough way to get it I know. Also, if it turns out you don’t have GCA, you have saved yourself months of moderate to high doses of Pred with all the added anxiety it brings for you.
