Wishing you all a truly festive time and thanking you all for your help and advice since I was diagnosed in November. It’s a wonderful Forum. Everybody has a secret. Mine? Well, I’m Mrs Claus. Santa is my carer and he has a message for you all in the enclosed photo! Our cottage probably contains the most decorations, but the spirit is here and we are just a couple of recycled kids! We have a busy few days ahead now...please remember to leave out mince pies and whisky, and make sure the fire is out...I keep having to deal with his singed trousers! Wishing you all a pain free Christmas and a healthier New Year. Cheers, Mrs Claus and Santa x x x

Merry Christmas and thanks!
Lovely,....and thank you Santa...look after those reindeers now, they’ve got a busy time ahead!
🥕🥕for Rudolf, 🥃 for Santa
Love it.
It is so nice to have 'special' days.
Oh my goodness you really are married to Santa !!!😨😨😨😨
Could you double check with him if he wants the usual Santa Soup for his 11 th Midnight Supper , and has Donner got over the Type 2 Diabetes now so he can go back to having an After Eight ?!!
Trust you to make a bloody reindeer diabetic!!
No that's Santa , I own no reindeer , just a collection of trolls!
We leave carrots but have always told the children that Donner likes an After Eight and Blitzen enjoys a small mince pie . Santa has his food break , Santa's special soup and Roast Ham sandwiches which is why they had to go to bed early so he had time to eat it , clever heh!😋
Grandma , being Grandma from age 5 disapproved of the idea that Santa should Drink and Drive , so he lost his mulled cider and got a drink if cranberry juice instead ( poor chap!)
In our slightly less mental home the mince pies were for santa. The girls never questioned the drink driving rule but i suspect mr bluebell would have been very grumpy if his whisky was stopped!! One year the youngest OH dressed as santa and terrified zach!!
Actually, Donner has reversed his diabetes, so please resume the After Eights (though he prefers plan chocolate Elizabeth Shaw mints, really)! Santa is truly addicted to mince pies and has a preference for those sold in the ‘Cook’ shop that now has many branches in the UK! This year I tried something new & cooked the ham joint with marmalade on the sides...& he smiled a lot! Soup & ham sandwich will be perfect, he says! BUT he really dislikes cranberry juice & says that if you leave it you are likely to be on his ‘naughty list’ next year...your choice, I’m only the messenger! Thanks, S x
That told you bee!! No more cranberry juice or else!! The Cook shop is an absolute nightmare. They do a frozen roulade which i consider equal to a box of Ferrero Roche. Not cheap but absolutely gorgeous. Santa only gets the blended whisky here so thats ok.xx
Oh dear, yes...we seem to have one of those frozen salted caramel etc pavlovas in our freezer! We have one for our birthdays (they are only two days apart) and one at Christmas...a whole week’s calories in one portion, but absolutely sublime! Enjoy! S xx
Grandson has just seen santa on my phone and asked why hes on there . Told him i was talking to mrs claus and hes just gone mental!!!! He wants me to make hot choc as well now but has decided santa can have both!! One very happy little boy at the moment, thanks xx
Magical! That’s what it’s like everywhere we go since mid November! Just popped to our local farm shop butchers a few days ago...took us an hour to buy a piece of gammon to roast, as more & more kids nearby spotted him! He’s generally banned from wearing his red sweatshirt this month...so he’s living in it! The looks on their faces is miraculous, they are always convinced he’s the real one (especially as I tell them you can tell the real Santa by tugging on his beard & finding it’s real. One year he was walking round our local garden centre with a small girl hanging off his beard!) tomorrow we need to go dropping off local presents to kids, pick up currency from our local shop & a large chicken from the butchers...that’s the day taken care of! But we both love it! I’m glad your grandson could recognise the real one amongst the phoneys! Congrats to him, S xx
Hes with us for a couple of nights but is now busy face timing mum and dad about me talking to mrs clause. I love Christmas when they think its real but doubt we have much longer before someone disillusions him at school as hes 7.
You just don’t know! We are still getting 12 year olds believing, especially if they with Mum and Dad in Santa’s grotto rather than with a bunch of mates! Enjoy it while you can! S xx
Actually last year he got Spanish hot chocolate with an extra choccy stirring spoon and a Giant Marshmallow , so I will do that again ( yum!!)😋😂😂😂😘
Very approved...he just said ‘don’t let anybody nick it before I get there’...think he’s making you his first stop! S x
Don't worry , tell him I've always taken my job as one of Santa's supper caterers very seriously , just ask him to park the reindeer on the back field a bit more quietly this year 😋😂😂😂
I love it Pixix!! Merry Christmas to you and shhh Santa 😳😂
Terrific pic and lovely wish! We used to leave eggnog and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Can't really remember but I think we spiked the eggnog. Whatever, it was always gone by morning.
And there was me thinking it wasn’t true! Great photos. Happy Christmas 🌲🌲xx
This is brilliant! Thanks for cheering everyone up! 🎅
My horrible big brothers told me that if I ever told our parents that I didn’t believe in Santa then we'd never get any more presents ever again....so I never ever told them!
I see Santa got my tapering wish for the New Year! Thanks and Merry Christmas!!
Happy Christmas 🎄
All The Best for 2020 🥂
Hope you are feeling a bit better soon! S x
Mine never "did" Santa because they grew up in Germany and the traditions are rather different. But when we returned to the UK they were under orders not to upset others by telling them ...
That sounds good...no need to upset the others! But in Germany now they seem to have embraced Santa Claus more. We are having to send out photos and Santa letters to folk there nowadays and they seem to believe quite late in life! The Italians loves him more than most, though...even in the summer there he is recognised and greeted like an old friend by strangers! Merry Christmas S xx
The Italian version is called Babbo Natale and is a seriously scary caricature!!!
Yes, but they really believe we feel! We were in Firenze and looked in a shop window, but didn’t go inside...two days later, when passing again we went in to buy something. The lady who owned the shop was beside herself in excitement! Oh, she said...I see Babbo Natale looming in my windows two days ago, and I was so sad when he didn’t come it...and now he is inside my shop! It was August & he does trim his beard year round until the end September - end December period! Every year we have to write to Eduardo & Sarah...they live on Lake Como, they still believe, age 12 & 11! We met them in July in Cervia, in a restaurant, but they still recognised him! HE had free gelato every evening in Venezia...while I had to pay!! Perhaps they were afraid of him, but I don’t think so because there was a lot of hugging going on! S xx
Dear Mrs Claus 🤶🏻
Please Thank Santa 🎅🏻 for his Wonderful Message........
(I think that has the makings of a Christmas Card!)
Wishing You Both All The Very Best for Christmas and a Happy & Healthy 2020 🥂🎄🍀
I have, but he really enjoyed all the comments and is also grateful to you all for helping me as a Newbie...he’s still trying to get his head round it all, too! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a healthier New Year, thanks, S and Santa xx
