Can I take cold and flu tablets whilst taking co-amoxiclav?

I've been given Co-amoxiclav to treat an infected pilonidal cyst but I've come down with a really bad cold and trying to figure out if I can take cold and flu tablets whilst taking the co-amoxiclav but I cant find anywhere that will give me a direct answer

The simple answer is Yes , a Paracetamol based Flu or Cold treatment ( with Menthol can be very helpful) can be taken with antibiotics.

I usually try to avoid anything also including Aspirin or Codiene because the antibiotics and other drugs we use can make our stomachs unsettled especially when we have an infection.

You need to talk to a pharmacist. Mine took me into a room and talked to me about drug interactions in such detail. They know it better than doctors.
