My PMR specialist put me on 5mg of pred last year and I am doing well. No aches and pains. I'm having an operation next week and I'm not allowed to eat anything after 11pm the night before and I was wondering if I should still take the pred in the morning or wait until after the operation.?

You need to ask the anaesthetist. I have had 3 surgeries recently and always been allowed to take my Pred in the morning, even when the surgery was in the morning.
Check with your Team but Pred is one of the Allowed or Must Still Take before Surgery.
There is usually information about Meds in your Admission Letter.
Hi, I am just had a hip replacement and put this problem to the pre- assessment. The solution was to ask admissions to book my op for the afternoon, then I could have a light breakfast before 7.30am. you could suggest that ?
I'll take my omeprazole and pred early morning before I leave to go to the hospital for the op. Because we are in Spain, just getting to have the operation is an achievement, so I don't think we'll be able to ask any questions or understand them, if I was lucky enough to get an answer.
