Hi, I've been using Dermatuff socks and sleeves for about nine months now, for my very thin skin. My skin is so thin, the slightest brush with anything, (it doesn't have to be sharp, or even hard), to cut it open or at the least a purple bruise. These socks and sleeves are made with "bullet proof" fibers. If something hits my leg or arm, when I am wearing them, I think, oh no, more blood, as I still feel the blow, but, when I look, nothing. I highly recommend them for you folks who have the same problem. I just wish they had sleeves that would cover the backs of my hands as well. I'm working on a fix for that.
I have recently bought a thinner version to protect my arms in the garden. It is not specifically for thin skin but is more protective than I thought it might be and just right for me as I tend to get very warm when wearing long sleeves.
They are designed as UV protection for cyclists, and I was attracted to them because they can be warn so that they cover the back of the hand as well as the arm. They are called SHINYMOD UV and are available from the online shop we all love to hate.
Thank you for the info - Have just ordered a pair - having been on pred for 3 years now my skin sounds just like yours slightest touch and yet another great black bruise which never really goes away, my legs look terrible.
Thank you. I wear boy's, basketball, elbow guards, and sometimes wrist guards with them as well. there are also forearm guards, which are less weildly. This seems much better. Wearing my stuff, I look like the bionic woman.
