I started at 15 mg. Its a relapse aft 9 years started 3 months ago.Tried to go from 10 to 9 but aft four days my legs are burning and sore.Do i go back to 10?

Yes! I hope that will be enough as it is quite soon. However, if it isn't, you could try taking 15mg for 2 or 3 days (or up to a week is OK) and then drop straight back to 10mg. That is what many top rheumies advise.

It doesn't mean you won't get lower, just not yet.

Yes, but we know better! A quick drop for a flare as described by PMRpro is fine, but for a normal taper - not.

Hi Hunter134.

It took me three attempts to taper from 10mg. Now going down by .5mg each 4 weeks with no problems so far. It seems quite a few people find 10mg a bit tricky to get past. Presently on 7.5mg. 🌻
