I get this very occasionally when I am very tired. I understand it is a side effect of PMR? I have read comments about it before here I think. Anyway, there is a program on Channel 5 tonight at 10.15 about it so could be of interest.

Restless Leg Syndrome
Thanks scrambledegg, I will be recording/watching. 🌻
Thanks for the tip off. It’s horrible isn’t it. Are you taking Magnesium - it seems to help. I’ll need to record it - past my bedtime.
Many thanks for that. I have it occasionally but my sil has been suffering on and off for a number of years, will text him in the hope that he can find some help.
Caffeine is directly related to my restless legs. I have 1 or 2 cups of coffee in morning, then no more for the day. Also , magnesium helps me. If I skip my dose, I suffer in the wee hours of the night.
I did find a homeopathic remedy called "restless legs", which contains small dose of quinine. It helps If I have breakthrough symptoms at nite. Take two, and the restless legs stop.
I have slightly twitchy legs some nights, which I have presumed was a mild case of restless legs. But it is entirely absent other nights. My PMR is in remission (at least I’m done with prednisone unless it roars back). The reference to quinine makes me think I should take notice of whether I twitch on nights that I have a gin and tonic (aka quinine water) or only on non-G&T nights....
