IT issues again

Just to let everyone know it looks like we are experiencing more IT problems. These issues mean we are having to log back in to our accounts all the time. If you experience any problems please inform IT. No one has been blocked or thrown off the forum. YBB

Yes I just noticed that when I tried to answer your PM .

I had one of those moments of panic as I hadn't had to use my password for so long , blank head and brain fog made me forget what it was for a while.

Is this HU trying to give me a bit of mental health self care in the form of brain training by any chance?

I wish they wouldn't , leave my sieve brain alone IT folks !!

I have had to sign in three times , I tried to swap between PM and posts and it made me sign in again , tried to swap back , did it again .

I blame YB , she's just trying to make it more difficult for me to get in touch with her , she could just tell me to be**** off!!😋😂😂😂😘

I thought it was just me being a bit sleep deprived but poops is having the same issues so we are assuming it's a general thing. I had to check my password as well!!

Fortunately I have mine automatically filled in for non banking stuff otherwise I have no idea what it is. It's done it about 10 times to me as I was testing refreshing from different parts of the hu site and it logged me out everytime.

My mum did have me tested , ironically , and they let me go , so , although my house is affectionately known as , " The Asylum" between my friends , it has nothing to do with me ....😋😂😂😂😂😘😘

If it was HU testing your mental health they wont need an IT problem for it to become obvious you are a mad woman. They could have given the moderators the heads up it was just a test for Blearyeyed!!

I'm using a computer and am being signed out if I try to click on chat to read a message with an internal transfer. I'm getting to the posts from my email OK so far and can reply and edit

Just to let you know I got my younger son to do a screen shot that Fonah had requested. I sent it off on Saturday. I shall be very glad when the problem I'm having is sorted.

If you have sent it to IT then hopefully they can help.you resolve the problem. They have been tweaking the site but sometimes I wish they would leave well alone!!

I've had all this unwanted extra ever since I came back from holiday. It will be a relief when they take it all away and just leave the messages.

I know this will sound daft. But have you closed the computer down and switched it back on..has anyone else used it for anything. If in doubt turn it off....log out of HU first then close properly for 10 mins. Not just "restart".

I think I know what it sounds like it is. But it's quite complicated and I don't want to make things worse from a distance! So starting simple.

Perhaps viewing source code. There should be a way to hide it rather than show it. Some search engines can switch between using ctrl+u. It looks like source code and can click view on menu bar and check. Unfortunately I don't have a computer so trying to remember this from years ago isn't easy!

It looks like it's the avatar code (jpeg) then borders etc. I may be wrong ...could just have knocked html view on. Without a working computer it's hard to work through it.

Maybe try logging out then restart your device. It should be okay but message helpdesk if not. They can look and see if there's an additional issue.

Can you report it to IT please as it seems to have been resolved for most people now. Have you tried signing out and going right off the forum and then trying again. Not sure it will do anything but worth trying.YBB

Cannot find how to report it to iT. Please advise. I did sign off but no change. I reported to HO. It was suggested it was my browser, but am using google on Apple ipad and had never had any previous problems until a few weeks ago. many thanks for help

Oh dear!!! I hope it sorts itself...but hopefully they will be able to help you. Perhaps you need to change all your passwords...like Google or email etc. Have you got the latest viral/firewall software? I had a series of emails a while back saying that I had a Google security alert. I never click on them and when I checked on Google main site it was a scam. Good luck!!

No. It does flag it up but I know of people and scams that are ahead of virus software covered by my phone. I haven't had one for a while. Having had 30000 words of a book deleted by virus ... especially 8,000 that had no hardcopy as overnight work I have been ultra careful. I had left the first 20,000 on discs...one with a friend and one with me but everything corrupted. Scars like that don't heal well!!

The best way to contact IT is to go to the footer at the bottom of the page, click on it and the contact us and then support centre. Then fill in your details and your issue.

Strange. I kept getting that notification when I was away and using my irritating little tablet, but I appear to be automatically logged in anyway so I never had to do anything in order to read posts. I have never (touch wood) had any problems when using my laptop.
