Thanks for your replies - I am watching weight but this appeared overnight on Sunday - I think I have read it is water retention rather than fat so this explains why it gets better during day (but doesn’t disappear) as I am moving around. Sad about acupunctue - I will pursue for pain - have seen GP
Fat face: Thanks for your replies - I am watching... - PMRGCAuk
Fat face
If I had any salt at all it would appear over night, then diminish over about 3 days once I stopped. I had to cut out anything made with stock cubes, processed meats, salt containing fish and seafood and nearly all processed food. It got quite boring but if I didn’t avoid it, sometimes my top eyelids would be harder to open.
There is a significant difference if this is later in the day. Looks like fluid retention of some kind if it comes and goes...or allergy type thing...new washing powder etc? I will attempt my to reduce salt further and see if mine lose the last bit of "fat".....mind you I am 3years older now too so this might be me now. 🌻
GP thinks steroid thing but strange to start as I go to low dose - 7.5mg - it has been worse in morning (may be fluid collects when lying down?) and clears a bit by end of day (after exercise?) It is less hard and angry this morning after 4 days - no new soap powder etc and don’t use salt in cooking or at table or eat a lot of fast food #mystery
Perhaps put a book under each bed "leg" at the head end. My face used to swell a little before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
Thanks for advice - I will try it
Face swelling in night so propped myself up on pillows and not so bad today
Each little bit of the jigsaw helps.
