This dam*ed twitch under my eye? It started Friday afternoon and has come and gone intermittently over the weekend. It's dam*ed annoying.
Nothing new in pred dose. Nothing new in other meds/supplements. Nothing new in symptoms. Nothing new in diet (gave up coffee back at 20mg because of the acid reflux so it's not caffeine).
Any suggestions on making it stop??

My eye doctor says it is stress related. Personally I feel like it is when my eye is overly tired. I am having it a lot as I am trying to adjust to monovision from a detached retina and macula unsuccessfully operated on in November.
My twitch is definitely stress and fatigue related. I have had it on and off since I was20!
If my Vit B levels are low it seems to be worse as well. Try taking a Vit B complex as it might help. (Your urine will be an alarming fluorescent lime colour because of the riboflavin ...B2 or 3 can’t remember which!)
This has been discussed before, so it may be worth doing a ‘twitch’ search.
It does drive me mad, and my friends say it is not as obvious to others as I think it is.
Rest! Maybe allergies. I had that over the weekend. Then I realized that the whole left side of my head was stuffed. Sudafed, 30mg, and guaifenesin helped. Just went to the osteopath. She fixed it all.
I have a very annoying tic along the left eyelid Dr tested my Magnesium and B levels which were both normal. I wonder if it is related to long term use of prednisolone.
Blood levels of magnesium in particular don't mean that much - the muscles give up magnesium to keep blood levels stable so they can be depleted.
A laxative effect is one of the results of taking magnesium salts and I find that when I take magnesium it sometimes works like that quickly - other times it takes several days. When I've taken it for my atrial fibrillation or for cramps it takes much longer than when I just thought about it "to be sure". So I assume that the unwanted a/f or cramp was because I was low.
I didn’t know about the laxative effect although I can see why I don’t have any problems with constipation these days! I did know about the cramping and I don’t get dreadful cramps in my feet at my Yoga class anymore. I don’t know if there is any proven basis for this but it helps me sleep really well every night.
