DONT DO IT!! I can seriously say moving house with pmr is not to be recommended. I thought I had made it stress free by arranging the movers do all the packing and then move the day after. Huh stupid me. I still have to say what needs putting in certain boxes and then they need marking for the room they are going to!! My previous laid back attitude went out the door when the movers came in!! I am hibernating for the next two days. Never ever again!!

I think it's 3rd on the stress list. Slowly does it. Bed things,
food things and some entertainment are only things you need for a day or two. Well done....and rest🌻

I told her she should just stay in a chair , or in bed like Frida Kahlo and have the movers carry her to the new house snuggled up like that .
Apparently the village council may not have approved though😋😂😂😂
That's because of the chaos I caused putting up the Christmas lights!! They were a bit depressed when they realised I was staying in the village!!

I left mine up as well because they were a pain to put up and there was a slight scene when the step ladder collapsed into to soft soil and I ended up on the lawn with the lights wrapped around me and OH and there was a queue of traffic outside the house!!

Yes. Took 40.ins to detangle. They are in the front bay window that now has a sideboard in front. Nota chance of climbing over it.
Yes, can imagine it...not for me if I can help it, having said that everyone else on the photo looks relaxed, especially the lovely child and dog!...
The grandson is oblivious to most things as long as he is plugged into an xbox. The dog is my youngests Father in laws dog and he is so stupid its unbelievable. He thinks he is the size of a terrier and promptly sits on your knee as soon as you sit down!!

I once knew someone with a Great Dane who had the same idea. Can't imagine what that would do to my knees now!
I know its amazing how heavy they are. The amount of times this daft dog has pushed his bony joints into my softer spots and he wont move.!!
This beast used to drool all over my feet as well. But like most big dogs he was a great, lovable softie. Good luck with the move.

I was supposed to taper after the wedding of youngest but decided it can wait till after the move!!
I did tell you to go and hide at Scats house , or a hotel , or witness protection 😨😨😨until it was all over.
I am still seriously impressed with your achievement though , a move of house decided on and done in about a month , I couldn't have done that when I was healthy.
You may be feeling it but you are still managing to post with humour simultaneously too .

Oh sod it!! Cat is no where to be seen so may have been packed!! Shes off to the cattery first thing tomorrow but prob should have sent her in today. I have a box of wool for your youngest and everytime I turn around Sean, the boss has it in his hand about to out in one of the big boxes!! This prompts me to go running (wobbling in reality) to rescue the box!! So far I have rescued the box 4 times and had to go back in a box for a switch, zachs school shoes and a dress the oldest is certain is here even though she has never lived here!! I am.off to the shed with the crocodile and alcohol
Don't forget to take the box , Zach's school shoes the dress and some chocolate to the shed with you too it could be a long day!! xxx
And to add to the chaos I have only just taken my pred despite being up since 8am!!
Now more use would have been an extra dose - not forgetting it!!!!
I know!! Wouldnt mind but the huge bag of meds for us both is sitting on the bench next to coffee perc!!

Luckily Sean has been in charge of fully emptying the loft so OH hasnt seen the full extent of the wool and fabric. He thinks the wool I am sending to you is all that's up there!!
I can relate to how stressful moving can be. Sounds like it did you in. The worst is over and unless you’re on a timeline, take your time unpacking and making your new place feel like home. No rush.
I did most of my own packing with the help of a my daughter, hubby and girlfriend. Thought I was all prepared when the movers arrived who commented on how organized this were and promptly started packing the car.
When the movers got to our bedroom and lifted up the box spring and mattress, low and behold there was a bright purple box containing a state of the art sex toy. I laughed, my husband hid, and the movers took it in stride offering to store it in the “set up” box they pack with tools for putting the furniture back together at the other end of the move (as the rest of the boxes were already packed up and taped close). I gave them my business card at the end of the day which they were curious about, and it also explained my comfort level with the matter.
I do hope the remainder of your move goes smoothly. Remember to take breaks and rest, delegate (if you can trust them to get the job done).
I would loved to have seen the faces after they discovered your "toy". My OH hasnt discovered the fun to be had by guessing stupid answers!! He hopefully never will.
It's a doddle - now!! I move out to a hotel and let everyone else do the work. I stay in the hotel until 3 days after the move then, slowly (very slowly) begin sorting out. Which usually takes anything up to 9 months!!
The last one was my 18th move! Next one permanent in a cosy box!!😂😂
I usually manage to be in another country when a move is planned. Last time I was in Iceland and on a previous move I was in Alaska. I usually plan this as I hate the build up.to the move but dont kind unpacking. Blearyeyed did suggest a hotel but OH has caught on to the fact I am always away and has not let me disappear this time.!!!
My daughter had the right idea about moving. For the first eighteen years or so after leaving the family homestead she moved nearly every year. She said moving was nothing, she had it down to a fine art. Plus, moving so often meant she was travelling light. No time to accumulate. Now she's got a house, a significant other, and a dog. Nomad life has ended.

Yes I did that, sometimes twice a year....my mum complained she had a full address book just for me. I could pack everything up in 3 boxes plus a rucksack of changing books.
And that is the gift that gets lost. We recovered it a bit coming here - small flat, little storage, get rid of the rubbish 
We have thrown so much away this time!! It just shows how much you collect that you dont actually need
Definitely - I have been looking at cupboards and thinking I could chuck a load as it hasn't been used for a few years. But not so easy here, no charity shops ...
We have put loads of clothes in the recycling bin at the local co-op.

I recycled 6 bin bags of clothes and had 2 skips full of "rubbish" for recycling. Still could do with more old work stuff going.

It's ridiculous what we insist we need!! I didnt think there was that much junk here but I was SO wrong!
Think of British canteens of cutlery! I need a sharp knife, a fork and a couple of sizes of spoons - not a 100+ piece canteen!!!! And I got 2 as wedding presents!
My cutlery has a habit of disappearing! No idea where too but suspect it might be with all the odd socks!!
Only teaspoons and (especially) coffee spoons - which I suspect went in the bin with the yoghurt tubs. Problem reduced once the girls left home ...

I have a bedroom full of things I removed from the kitchen and dining room for building works. Been doing the PMR since work was almost over. Haven't touched stuff for 3yrs, hopefully all in recycling and rubbish without opening.....if I can!
