I have been reducing slowly my preds but been feeling awful the past few weeks went to GP last night who says have been reducing too fast
It is difficult when you see a different GP each time and get a different regime by I am pleased to say after 6months I have been referred to a rhumatologist just have to wait for an appointment to come through

I started on 20mg the first GP said after 1month reduce 2.5 per fortnight which was not to bad till 12.5 the next said go back to 17.5 for two weeks then continue as before Back down to 12.5 went back asked i I could reduce by 1mg a time that was ok til 10 mg drs last night put me back to 17mg and reduce by 1mg per month see how that goes and await rheumatologist appointment
Sounds like 10mg was a squeak too low for you at this time. A quick blast at 15 (5mg more then the flare point) and a fairly rapid reduction to 11 (where presumably you felt ok) might be enough. Then sit at 11 for another month before trying again to 10 or even 10.5.
You do need to go slow so you can identify your level, and pinging up and down is potentially going to make things more difficult in the long run.
My rheumi told me to slow down once! Took me by surprise. Next visit she moaned as she thought I was too high on pred! Can’t win can you! Basically I just ignore them now; I know how my body feels and live it every day, not them.
Just FYI, I started at 20 and didn’t get to 10 for 8 months, flared, then another 3 months to get to a reliable 10.
