Support for PMR and GCA
Welcome,
Please do, open for questions and replies at all times!
Looking at your profile - inflammation markers can be raised by many things, not just PMR or GCA.
Me - stress on one occasion, post operation on another!
Welcome to the forum dougy8419, and for providing us with the lovely pic of your by way of introduction. From the title of your post I'm assuming you have PMR and GCA. This group of folks are very knowledgeable and will understand and "get it" more than folks who do not have a lived experience with these conditions.
If you have any questions/concerns or just need to "vent" (frustrations can abound when you live with an AI condition), do not hesitate to post. All the best.
Leslie
(57 years old, PMR, diagnosed May 1/18, current pred dose 8.5mg)
Why is your doctor so perplexed? Do you not have any symptoms to go with the raised markers?
We are all here for one another. (I have GCA - diagnosed 8 months ago.)
👋 you will find this forum filled with knowledge ! I’ve gained a lot of very useful info over this last year! All the best 🌸
Hi I thought I would like to offer my support, looked on the web for my nearest Support Group, but that is 27 miles away in Maidstone Kent, so I decided to set up a Support Group in my home town of Whitstable in Kent UK, we had our first meeting yesterday and it went very well, next meeting set for Friday 19th July 2 pm-4pm at W I Building 8 Faversham Road Seasalter CT5 4AL, please email me if you can attend to assist with catering
whitstable@pmrgca.org.uk
Thanks

Surely you want this to appear as a new thread rather than in the middle of an existing one?
Yes I do but I am new to this site, can you help me put it in the right place, please.
Either click on the Home icon at the top of the page and a profile page appears: in the centre is a box with your name and "What's on your mind?" - that is code for "Write a post"! Or you can go to the PMRGCA forum Homepage by clicking on that under My Hub at the top of the page. At the top right is a blue box saying Write.
I've just had to look hard to find this information - heaven knows how anyone new to the site works it out!!!
