How to send a Private Message

Am trying to private message another member but without success. I know it's me (and I thought I was down with the kids or up with somebody else) but I would very much appreciate a nudge in the right direction! Cheers

Click on the member to get to ‘their’ page. There should be a box a little under their name saying ‘Message’.

Tap on the double speech bubbles icon on the top banner left of the bell icon - takes you to new page - then tap in members name.

Or go into their profile - there is a Message button on right of screen. Brings up new page as above.

Two choices here! Cup of tea, bit of a lie down and then let the experiment begin ...... Many thanks Dorset Lady.

I like your style! A cuppa, then a rest, before any cranial exertion 😉

You have probably sorted it out , but if you press on the person's profile picture on a reply or post it will take you to their profile page.

You can choose to follow them and then press the message button too to send the message , I know sometimes just using the message button you can lose your message so I find following helps .

Good luck , Bee x

Adding this to explain more fully bit late but the post appeared in Related Posts:

It is slightly different whether it is for one person or several at once.

Click on the name or avatar of the person to whom you want to send the message. That brings up their profile page - There is a blue box with Chat at the top right of the page - tap on that and it brings up a chat thread for that person alone which can't be seen by anyone else - including HU unless you report a response you get that worries you.

Alternatively, click on the Chat ikon at the top right of the thread on a computer, across the bottom of the screen on a phone. It looks like a folded paper aeroplane. Then click on the Blue box saying New on the page that comes up and a chat page appears.

On this Chat page you can set up a chat group amongst up to 10 members: type a name and select it from the menu that drops down. This starts the list of people included. Type another name and select it, it will add to the list. Do that until you have created your group and click on Next - and just follow instructions,

You will be notified when anyone responds - and so will everyone else on the list.
