Drenamin

I saw this on a Facebook page and wondered if it would help to stimulate my dying adrenal glands?

My naturopathic doctor put me on 5 mg DHEA - Drenamin- twice a day since I split my prednisone dose. I take it at the same time as the prednisone. Was on 25 mg pred 1 year and 3 months ago. Now on 3.5 mg pred. The DHEA is for adrenal support.

Is this available in Uk? Any advice welcomed

There is absolutely no real evidence it helps - except for the bank balance of the doctor who prescribes it! In the UK it is a prescription-only medicine so it isn't available OTC as a supplement and you need a private prescription - which means you may be charged for that to be written or have to see a doctor privately.

PMRpro has answered - personally I’d be wary of the mix. Best wishes.

I would always be wary of the word 'may' in any claims about the benefits of a particular drug or substance. There is always an invisible 'not' after it.
