Pred to the rescue part2

Hi all my forum friends

I posted part 1 a few days ago. The story of a visit to London, with a cough, an energetic weekend and then a fall from my mobility scooter onto my 8 week hip replacement. I’m pleased to report that hip seems fine and is decorated for the season with bruises of various hues! The 5mg extra Pred worked and I’ve now dropped back to my 2mg per day, where I’ll stay over the festive season.

Excited.....beds all prepared, decorations up, presents round the silver twigs,( no room for a tree with 7 in the house) food delivery this evening and Saturday. It’s the first time my little granddaughters age 4 & 9, have come here for Christmas. There are lists attached to fridge with food options for every meal except Christmas lunch of large rib of roast beef which I want to cook. My husband was horrified when I suggested frozen Yorkshire puds.....he’s from Yorkshire, and I was taught at his mom ‘s side before marriage the correct technique!

Karaoke machine ready, charades lists, swimming pool in cabin set to hot, furniture arranged.....can’t wait!

Merry Christmas to all my forum friends. I hope your PMR / GCA stays settled and you pace yourself. Valerie🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🤶🧚🏼‍♂️🧚🏼‍♂️🧚🏼‍♂️🧚🏼‍♂️👑👑👑💥💥⛄️⛄️🍸🍸🥎🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🎼🎼🎇🎇🍭🍭🌲🌲🌲🌲🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽

Have a lovely Christmas Val. BTW frozen Yorkshire puddings aren’t all that bad tasting (saying this in a small voice so Yorkshire born son in law won’t hear!)

That’s what we are having. Made 4 days ago by a friend of my daughter - she felt sorry I wasn’t able (???, too lazy)😏 to make them myself.

Haven’t had frozen ones before.😂😂

Betty’s Yorkshire puds will do at a pinch. You need to cut some corners. My OH will not skimp on his famous bread sauce.

This is our first year with little ones (became an instant mum when my son partnered with a woman who has 2 sweet little boys). Children do make the holidays so much fun!

What a wonderful post. I hope you have a truly wonderful Christmas - but, amidst all the fun, and joy and love, please don't forget to relax and find your quiet place from time to time.

Oh Valerie....how exciting and divine all at once!! Sounds a bit like my planned Christmas which includes 2 boys (ages 3 and 7.....my son’s partners’ children), karaoke, hot tub, and yummy food.

Enjoy this wonderful holiday season, and time with your family.🎄🍽🎁☃️👙🎅🏻🍷🧒🥩🍻🎤🎼🎹🎸🎷
