As everyone is showing their efforts with their Christmas Trees I thought I would show you mine. Impressive what? 😂😂😂😂😂🎄🎄
XMAS TREES!!!: As everyone is showing their efforts... - PMRGCAuk
XMAS TREES!!!
That's even more impressive than mine - I've got an invisible tree!
I've got one of those!
Snap. All my Christmas decorations are up in loft - didn’t use them last year as in NZ and as I’m away for over a week this year and dodgy hip really can’t be bothered.
Might treat myself to a nice Christmas bouquet though! And the other niceties of course 🥂🍾🍫🧁🍮🍷☕️
At least you dont have to take them down that seems a good idea to me
My house is like Santa's Grotto
Have a 3 year old all over Xmas
So much planned it will be Xmas overload
Have a Great time with your Son
Me too. Though I will manage a few lights on the balcony before the family arrives for New Year. They can get their xmas fix at the xmas markets...
A few years back we had no tree cos there were no children, but we missed the lights. So we put them around the kitchen dresser and up the stairs. They have been there ever since and are switched on most nights. They do help lift the spirits it's a shame to leave them just for christmas, especially now they last so long. You can keep your tinsel though!
I like that idea
I would let them buy thier own gifts as well
Less work the better
We do - each daughter gets money transferred to do as they wish. The original idea was they got a family gift that everyone benefitted from and usually it is put towards a holiday or the like. One year it replaced the cooker for one daughter but she is now separated and the son lives with dad which makes it more complicated. But I have to do nothing! We live in different countries so it is difficult and wasteful to do gifts. I'd rather give them the fortune postage would cost to spend on something they need/want.
Better than my non existent decorations. Maybe if I were spending Xmas at home, I’d make an effort - but maybe not 😄
Very cute!!
My late Father in Law used to put their tree away every year in the loft, fully decorated, cover it with a sheet & remove it the following year! 🎄 Bless Him! I’m still tweaking mine!
MrsOCD🎄
I have a slight breakdown most years over how the lights are on the tree. No baubles until the lights are perfect. Left other half to do lights last year and he used 200 light in just the top 3 ft of tree and told me we didn't have enough lights. I took the lights back into my care!!
In deference to my balance when teetering on steps I left my fairy lights up all year, and my camp dancing reindeers ... bit like the clock in the car, I never change that and it's always right half the year Fröhliche Weihnachten!
Thought I might have missed Christmas, local supermarket has hot cross buns on display. 😫🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Ditto Everyone! I enjoy my neighbors, front and back, who have gone bezerk with lights!! Makes the longest nights of the year colorful and cheery!
Happy Season to you All!!!

Nice try - recognised it straight away....
That's as much tree as I'll be managing this year.
I haven't been up to the attic to bring down the window garlands, outside lights, tree lights and ornaments since the onset of PMR. I just cannot imaging spending days and days hanging thousands of glass and crystal ornaments. They'd just shatter on the floor with my clumsy hands. Forget the trains and the village. That would have had to start back in October.
My arms used to ache for days every year after setting up the tree before PMR.
So now we travel for Christmas, and enjoy the fruits of other people's labors.
And I'm evaluating right now which of my dozens of nieces and nephews might inherit my collections. It would be nice to see them all again, but in someone else's home.
Spent Christmas in New York to comfort my daughter who was working there at the time of the attacks, a little more subdued then but still magical. Still have the stilletoes I walked across Brooklyn Bridge on Christmas day to the restaurant, who'd have thought it would have wooden slats which made walking in heels very dodgy.
Thank you for coming at that time.
I'll never forget all the brave and wonderful people who came to visit New York that winter.
They were all so kind to us, and they have my admiration. It was a frightening and sad time here, and we took courage and solace from those who came to share.
I hope you'll come again.
I have boxes of decorations but just use my little artificial spruce tree ,l have decorated it with white lights, little fairies and a few ceramic robins.lt looks very pretty and l know only too well that the more you decorate the house the more there is to put away ! I have a pretty wreath on my front door and Christmas cards ,plus a few very small trees around the house. There is a small tree in my large dolls house too and a wreath on the front door.Thats it for me,l guess l am getting lazy .l wish everyone a lovely Christmas, take care not to overdo things and enjoy xx.
Really impressive!
Everyone is so creative! My tree is imaginary this year! I am so excited about how quickly I will be able to have it taken down and put away and that I won’t have the mess of needles to vacuum! This is what it looks like in a normal year :
I love designer trees ,so elegant ,so subtle ,so instant hahaha love it !
I bought two 4 ft tall table top trees when I first got sick the first Xmas. We put them away with the lights on and I just put on ornaments. Put presents on the table around it so bunnies don't nibble on the paper. Don't know if we'll ever get the big one out again. They are at opposite ends of the living room.i have been giving Xmas decorations to a charity shop. I have toooo much stuff.🎅🎅
Have enjoyed watching my husband put the tree and decorations up. He is the more OCD one of the family so I’m always happy with result!!
