New Rheumatologist

As we moved 8 months ago I decided to get a local rheumatologist.

I rang the new one to make an appointment and the rheumy answered himself (his secretary wasn’t available).😂 He looked up on his computer and said he could see me on Monday next (4 days)!

I must now add this is a private rheumatologist! A bit of a difference to the national health one (3 to 4 months).

Now we’ll see what the bill willl be!!!😂😂

Not to mention how much he knows about PMR!!! Is he a newly established one?

Retired Chief Rheumatology Consultant from the local hospital. He got fed up with retirement so opened up a part time private practice.😂

Even though private there are limits as to what they can charge over here. I’ve got my fingers crossed!! I’ll let you know the outcome.

If he is retired & bored! Where does this go with his powers!!

Well he’s not retired and bored is he?? He’s doing something which he loves and helping people almost every day.

Here in Germany doctors in hospitals have to retire at 65 and many of them go into part time private work because of the lack of doctors in specialist subjects.

Impressive though! I hope he’s a good one who understands PMR/GCA.
