I am the daughter of Anita 02 - my mum told me of this community that she chatted with and discussed her PMR.
Sadly my mum passed away in September. We do not know the cause - but the flu jab, the dosage of steroids and her treatment plan are under investigation.
The family are devastated, she had no reason to pass away in her 50s.
Thank you to anyone that offered support and advice, I know it helped her get through difficult days.

And having reread your mum's threads - if you can bear to do so please come back and tell us what transpires. Because that doctor had some very strange ideas about managing PMR and I was not convinced he knew what he was doing.
