Rib pain
Costochondritis is a possibility there have been a number of recent discussions about rib pain, if you do a search.
Costochondritis - appears mostly on the left side...
Yes! And catching Up on "strictly" I hear you can strip a muscle from a rib. This perfectly describes how I often feel. Last month I popped said rib and muscle in the hot tub on hols! Ouch. 👙
Costochondritis sounds the problem like the others say. I had it a while back and it was really painful to even breath. It went away again eventually thank goodness.
Had it all the way through. Left side!
Costochondritis is the medical term for inflammation of the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone ( sternum). They say any activity that makes the pain in your chest area worse should be avoided, in my case it was breathing, I am none too keen on stopping doing that for the time being!
But when I "touch" and put pressure on the rib in that area, that is where I have the
pain. : (
...yes, I was experiencing this laying in bed. Pain on the left side around ribbs, especially under my armpit; it felt as though I was laying on a sharp pebble. I kept sitting up and brushing the sheets. On dx PMRGCA and starting Pred. It disappeared. I've never connected it to PMR before I read your post!
Thank you everyone.
