Erythromelalgia

A friend in her 90s has been in remission from PMR for many years. She has now been diagnosed with Erythromelalgia which I see from Dr Google can be caused by auto- immune diseases. Does any one know if PMR can lead to this?

It is not unusual to get more than one autoimmune disease. Erythromelalgia has been linked to RA and Lupus I think. My palms can burn and itch at times, as well as the souls of my feet. They look very red. So far this symptom has been too mild to mention. There seem to be various remedies but no actual cure. I hope she doesn’t suffer too badly.
