That OA (and sometimes PMR) pain is really bad in bed at night but during the day the only relief I get is to lie down on my recliner or go to bed??😡

Think it called “Sod’s Law” 😏 or ‘Murphys’s Law” depending on where you were raised!

I wish I knew I'm the same. I wonder if its being in the same position for too long? Perhaps we both need a new mattress?

I think DL has it right def " sod's law " around here.

Mine IS new! It’s the walking around that makes me hurt so much during the day.

Shoulders, upper arms and wrists, yes. OA, hips, knees and ankles. ESR 32.

More pred. And maybe a split dose...

Exactly what the doctor said this afternoon (I went in to have the flu jab). He saw the ESR had risen again, told him I was on 4mg, he said raise it to 10 for 2 weeks, then decrease by 2mg every 2 weeks till I get to 4mg again. You’ve been telling me to do this for ages, but 10mg 😡. Ah well, the experts win this time.

I thought we had agreed you would stay at 5mg - one tablet before bed. What's not to like? And if that turns out to not be quite enough - 10mg on Sundays...

Lets face it - you won't be on them for another 20 years will you? It would be nice if you were but...

Hee hee!

The doctor did add that because of the way the PMR has run for these last 6 1/2 years he doubted that I would get below 4mg.

A doctor actually believing that someone could be on it for life!?!

There are a few sensible souls out there!

Hi

I find it better to rest on my bed in the day as it helps the whole body relax.

At night, l have to wrestle for my space with DH but l have lots of pillows too, to help take the stress off!

When my PMR was very bad & after Chemo l had to evict him, Bless, but sometimes you need your own space 🛌

Oh dear!😏 Our bed is huge, so no trouble there, but we’re inclined to “part” more in the night and then I turn round for a cuddle and he’s not there.😀
