This maybe because I am posting from Majorca, but it is a nuisance. How can I get straight in each time, as I used to do?

Hello Jane,

I had the same problem when reading an email post.. You just need to download the HealthUnlocked app and then search again for the post thread x

I’ll try that Susan. X

Hmmmm? I have no idea. Sorry.

I hope your visit to such a pretty part of France does you great good on every possible level. I am just about adjusted to Majorca and it will soon be time to leave. It just takes me too long. Hands across the sea. 🤝 x

Awe, thanks! Part of me is looking forward to it, and part of me is (as you understand) apprehensive! I still have the "lurgy,' so not looking forward to a 2 hour EasyJet flight (a fate worse than death!) but looking forward to relaxing by a pool, doing nothing.. eating french food and drinking french wine... smelling the flowers and losing myself in the vista! Ahhhhhhhhh, I feel relaxed already. xxxxx

It’s good to know that others feel apprehension as well as look forward to a holiday. I’m off on Tuesday. Flight at silly o’clock. My OH gets worried too, as he fainted on a plane coming back from Spain 2 years ago. It was awful because he was ill as well and after them asking if there was a doctor on board, a lovely young doctor called James appeared. Luckily OH recovered quite quickly but there was a lot of muttering from the other passengers when they were asked to stay seated at Stanstead until the paramedics had got him off the plane.Fingers crossed it all goes ok this time. I have requested assistance. 🌸

in reply toSuet3942

Ummm, you could probably exchange the words "panic stricken," for "apprehension," but potatos/potatoes, right! I am not a good flyer normally, but since GCA it really terrifies me... the thought of being stick in a heavy, metal, object careening through the atmosphere! OK, that settles it I"M NOT GOING!!!!! 😱

...oh by the way, where are you off to?

Northern Spain. Salou

Surely not, what a rotten lot. When it happened on a plane that I was on, the muttering seemed to be interest and concern. We had to land at a nearer airport while she was taken off god love her and then we had a long delay before we could fly again.

I’ve got braver and more fatalistic since PMR, weird. OH still goes pale around the gills.

You shouldn’t have to do it every time. You usually need to the first time you use a different wi-fi system, but after that it should be okay.

Hope you get it sorted, it’s such a pain otherwise - but I guess you have compensations!

Yes, maybe it’s just realised.

I have the very same problem and as you say, it's a real nuisance. I will try Susan's suggestion and hope that it works. Enjoy your holiday while it lasts. D

I only use the app now, and it works great..

Mallorca! what a nice time to be there... Hope you are having OK weather...

SheffieldJane profile image
SheffieldJane in reply toGaijin

I’ve just realised that I should be calling it Mallorca not Majorca, which is probably old fashioned and not Catalan. Back now, still have to sign in for every post. 😩

Not really sure which is the spelling in Catalán.. in Castillian, it's Mallorca..

Sorry you're having trouble still, maybe it'll get sorted on Monday.

What an International set we are!

Yes - life doesn’t have to stop for GCA or PMR -just be amended slightly!

Trouble is, it takes a little while to realise.

I’ve had the same problem this week Jane and I’m not in Europe but having a short break in Hayling Island. Yesterday I had to reset my password in order to access the site. Since then it appears to be working again for me. Not sure if it was a site upgrade or an internet problem. Who knows? Glorious by the sea in Hayling Island today. Like an Indian summer ………

Hayling Island sounds amazing!

I am on an IPad. The system won’t let me re-register. The messages have built up so much, I am going to have to delete them. I’ve reported it. Back on Sunday. Apologies if I’ve left anyone’s message to me dangling, unanswered.

I got your reply just fine thanks Jane. I would miss being able to read the posts each day - it’s part of my wake-up routine. I’m using my iPad here in Hayling Island. Love that I can stay connected to my “mates” on here even when I’m away from home. A brutal start to the day here this morning with the fire alarm triggered in the hotel and woke me up at some silly hour and before I’d taken any preds!!. A false alarm thankfully but it did make me think about how fast I’d be able to move in a real emergency. Fortunately we have a ground floor room with French doors leading to garden outside so could have escaped that way I guess if necessary.

Back home later today after a late checkout. Before PMR I’d have considered a late checkout a waste of money- but it definitely allows me to get ready and “get going” at my own pace these days. Come to think of it - I think I do late checkout most days at home!!

That must have been a shock. I am not sure that my adrenaline can respond to a shock, I tend just to feel a bit ill. So look after yourself, you’ve had a shock! It sounds like a great break on the whole though. A late check-in is definitely the way forward.

Hi Jane - I think it is because your IP address has changed and to one 'abroad' - i.e. in a different one from the one you initially registered on. There's nothing I can do to help I'm afraid except to say hope it settles when you come home!

SheffieldJane profile image
SheffieldJane in reply toPolywotsit

Thanks Kate. I have signed on in Sheffield, no joy yet, but it took the system a few days to notice that I was in Majorca.

Had a reply from you 2 hours ago Jane so presume you're up & running now!

Late Tuesday night and finally I have been allowed back into the fold without signing in and my in- box is bursting with posts. I guess I’ll never know if the technical people did something, or I managed something that worked or what. I hope the others who were having problems are also fine now.
