RESULT!!!!!!!!

I saw my GP today and explained to him what I had learnt about reducing pred. He said that is more or less the method he uses - allowing the patient to taper their dose themselves. I told him I was concerned about the rheumatologist. He said rheumatolists often want to rush people off pred but he is not going to that as we need to avoid flares and pred withdrawals.

So, RESULT! my worries were unfounded.

The doctor also gave me a flu jab. Should I ask him about a pneumonia vaccination do you think?

When you find a doctor like that, find out what his/her favorite wine or liquor is and send a bottle over. Or bake something delicious and drop it off. Or send a gift certificate for the best restaurant near the office.

If that's not allowed, then send a beautiful thank you card.

You want to be this one's favorite patient.
