Just got back from a slow stroll down the cut. (canal) Would you believe some cretin has dumped a huge lorry load of garden stuff in the middle of a country lane! The lane has no lighting & the trees grow over the top. I thought it was a fallen tree! Imagine hitting that in the dark! Getting a big problem round here dumping stuff. Always something to rage at!

Fly Tipping Madness.

I really don’t understand the mentality of some people. If it’s garden waste most recycling places welcome it with open arms! I can understand why sometimes other rubbish is tipped, not that I condone it, but many tips charge tradespeople. No excuse, and it’s you and me that end up paying for it to be cleared!
Everyone pays in the end DL with this sort of dumping! We should all have some responsibility in who we hire to do the job! This was a lot of conifer! Never a perfic world!
What's the picture of? I have a childhood memory of being told not to let my even younger cousin eat some red berries while my aunt was inside a shop, and of course she did, and I was delighted to tattle on her. At another time the same kind of berry gave me a blister on my finger. I think it was this plant.
I believe it’s Lords and Ladies, also known as Cuckoo Pint. As you might expect, it is poisonous.
This was a very selfish person who dumped all that garden waste, obviously uncaring about a possible accident as this was blocking the lane. This always means we have to pay for it to be cleared through our council tax.
Very true Grants. Believe me this wasn't a small amount either.
We walked round Earlswood reservoir ( sure you know it Pepperdoggie) and noticed a lovely wooden table and bench set dumped in the stream nearby. Apparently it had been provided by the council for picnickers. Why oh why do people feel the need to destroy lovely things just for fun???
We have the arum Lilly but find it pops up everywhere in our garden!!! Can't get rid of it now!!!😏😏😏😏😏
Know Earlswood well York. It's sad that it's entertainment for some! Newly planted trees are a frequent target & route direction signposts. We have the variegated leaf version & it does't seem to spread so badly. Great in a shaded spot.
