Flying high?

This morning I accidentally picked up the 5mg pred bottle instead of th 1mg bottle. I took 3 5mg instead of 3 1mg. Will I a. Feel the best I have felt in over 2 years? Or b. Have to have my stomach pumped. AND should I just go back to 3 mg tomorrow?

a) Probably

b) Not at all! Nothing poisonous about a normal starting dose for PMR!

c) Yes

Enjoy!!

That must have really worried you. I have nearly made that mistake too. I will be a lot more careful after your escapade.

What would we all do without PMRpro? Do you think that she/he may be a professional, and that she/he does this as a hobby to help others? Anyway - long may it continue!

No Arthur, not a professional - except at PMR! But yes, it is a hobby to help others - maybe it'll get me a few weeks off purgatory?

It sure will PMRpro. Keep up the wonderful work.

I think you are an old soul who has voluntarily come back to earth to help others. No purgatory for you.

Not so much of the old if you please! I decided today I am not elderly - they say the elderly don't sweat in heat which is why they overheat. I was definitely sweating!!!!!!

Old soul is a good thing, a compliment! Took my two oldest children with me when having a past life reading and the clairvoyant looked in my daughter's eyes for the longest time and she stared right back at him. She was only four years old. After a minute or more the man leaned back and took a deep breath and said she was an old soul. He also said I wasn't!

Of course you’re not old, don’t know whether to say mature? But that makes you sound like a piece of cheese.

Let’s go for “in one’s prime and knowledgeable” 😉

Do you think I'm mouldy too? ;-)

Wouldn’t dare! 🤨

Hehe - I wouldn't faze myself if you did. Mature wines get quite mouldy corks...

There is an agave plant blooming in a Victorian public gardens we have here, and I wanted to see it as this is a very rare event. I went over first thing this morning, took a picture, and came straight home, and was a total limp wet rag by the time I got back! But it's hubby who is the real limp rag. He must be feeling stressed about everything too, but incapable of talking about it. He did pull a face when he asked me how much we would need to do to the kitchen in the condo and I said it needed to be gutted!

Funny - my OH told me the house in Scotland was fine - even the kitchen would do! When I saw it I asked my mother what on earth made him think that as she'd been with him - she just shrugged! I was still in Germany so hadn't seen it prior to the bid being put in - which is what is binding in Scotland. But it turned out very nice in the end. It's a man thing!

in reply to HeronNS

I bet he was gutted after learning that 😵

I would reduce the dose, fairly quickly, down to 10 mg but MUCH slower, after that. Maybe 1mg, every couple of days. This might seem, very slow, but it really IS necessary.

My rheumy has insisted that my decrease from 10mg is no more that 1mg per month at the fastest. Have nearly done my month at 9mg and am crossing fingers that moving to 8mg will work as well.

This sounds tempting haha. Good luck and have fun with all the energy!. And amazing..being down to 3 in "real" life!... where i see prednisone-brain still has its place!

I didn't feel much difference the day that I took the triple dose, but the next day I cleaned the fridge, which I had been dreading 😟

If you do 'IT' again, can you clean MY fridge, please? I'm glad that you are OK now, jokes apart.

Hello, I suspect that with option b) the horse has already bolted, especially if you’ve taken uncoated Pred. It’ll already have been in your system giving you an extra lively day 🙂. Don’t forget that there are those on here who went from 0mg to 100mg are still here to tell the tale!

Because I was worried about doing just that, I have written a large 1, 5, and 25 on the white plastic tops with a permanent felt tipped marker. Works for me!
