Having been on pred for PMR since Jan 2014, and then developing Arthritis, I thought that that was the lot, but Oh no.
In March I developed Anaemia, and am now on 8 weekly blood transfusions. Then last week the real fun started. The glaucoma clinic said that my eyesight was borderline for driving, so I made an appointment for an eye test the next day. I didn't get there because , at 5am, the room started spinning. I couldn't get out of bed so my wife phoned the surgery when they opened, and after a while my doctor phonrd me, listened to what had happened, and said that I had Vertigo. Tablets prescribes, taxi ride for Jean to collect them, and 5 days later I am still getting the odd spin. Hope it goes awa y soon because the tablets label says no driving & no alcohol.
Eye test tomorrow to find out if the vision problem is Catasracts, which I know that I have, or if new glasses will give a temporary solution.
Sorry to rabbit on

How perspicacious of your doctor - vertigo is the symptom not the cause!!!! However - glad to hear you are on the mend!
Know what you mean - not me but OH has had an INTERESTING month to say the least. Two hospital incarcerations, the second partly due to measures taken during the first, have spiced life up a bit. However - on a positive note, the head of ICU told him today what a very sensible wife he had! I shall wear the crown with a degree of pride
You/we've had enough practice to wear the crown, you justly deserve to wear it with pride but sorry to hear OH unwell still, keep up the good work and don't forget yourself in all of this! My OH gets told to 'listen to your wife' - he says he does appreciate me - then why does he behave as is he's got a memory problem! Selective memory I call it...
I can just picture you the lovely sensible wife. I’d be chuffed with that. I do hope he’s making good progress and you are not over tiring yourself! We benefit from your huge good sense too. X
Poor you, you have really suffered. Just a thought, you don’t have headaches or jaw pain do you? I tend to think that symptoms link up in some way and I would want to be sure that GCA was definitely not a possibility.
As long as we keep waking up in the morning, it's better than the alternative... my mantra I use to remind myself when it gets flipping hard. Keep your chins up
