Pmr site so helpful

I had a question in my mind - re bruising - and the site has answered another's questions and therefore mine. I saw a picture of someone with raised veins in their hands/wrist and they look like mine. I keep tripping up on invisible kerbs and so do others. I have pred head although it is getting a bit better. On Friday I was 60 and today I succumbed and had cake, cream scone and a biscuit. I know I will suffer later. I take on board all advice re tapering and, when talking to my doctor on phone, let her think it is her sound advice I am adhering to, whereas reality is I am for ever mindful of the good learns here and use this knowledge to negotiate a slower, manageable taper. All in all, the point of my rambling on is I couldn't be where I am today (happy place) without you all. So thanks and blessings to everyone. I pick up my free prescription tomorrow! Yay.

Welcome ( I think) to senior citizenship! Some perks to be enjoyed!

Well, we deserve that at least. 😏

You might lose many things, just make sure it’s not your sense of humour - you’re going to need it. 😳

You express my feelings beautifully. Happy BD wishes and your wise words about letting the doctor think she is in control is brilliant!

Hmm.... scone.... Must go warm up a chedder-chive scone baked by my d-i-l and slather it with butter and enjoy a load of delicious calories.....

I believe those were my pictures of a surge (flare up). They are infrequent thank goodness. They do go down afterwards. It's a strange condition
