What cheers you up?
My sunshine when skies are grey.: What cheers you... - PMRGCAuk
My sunshine when skies are grey.
They most certainly do cheer you up. But they do have their moments. I looked after my 4 year old last night and when in the bath I couldn't tell youwhere he hid his marble. How it got in the bath heaven knows. After a lot of laxatives hey presto. X
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Was a worry at the time but you have to laugh. My Father who is 94 has a very sharp wit said that he was a very clever little boy and that by the age of 10 he would be a magician and pop marbles out of his ears. Made me laugh. Ha ha...
Too funny! How old is he now?
Still 4 .
So you've got a few years to go before he becomes the Great Houdini!
He has the years. Ha ha. When he is 10, I'll be nearly a young 70. Do you have children and grandchildren. My grandchildren make me laugh so much. Just so many little things that mean nothing. Bit like the marble effect. Come to think of it I did take him through a car wash yesterday and he said the shampoo looks like a marble with all the different colours. Also the night ended here with a double rainbow. Food for thoughts. X
Hahahahahaha! He's consistent, I'll give em that!
I have 2 daughters and 3 grandsons. Tow of the grandsons (the 19 and 7 year old) live in the US. The 1 year old lives in Manchester, which is about 5 1/2 hours away from where we live. I was very close to the 19 for the first 12 years of his life and yes, HE MADE ME LAUGH!!!!
I have 3 grandsons aged 9, 3 and 1 and one granddaughter aged 4, who just emailed me with an account of her day that involved a game called exploding kittens! 😹
The grandson pictured is the one I looked after while his parents worked.
You must have been a young mum. I was 21.
He looks like an adorable little monkey who gets up to all kinds of trouble. Gorgeous little guy.
What a little smasher, Jane. How old is he? Never thought I’d be a granny as son was getting older and not settling, then suddenly out-of-the-blue he met “the one” three years ago, married and along came two smashers, Zac now 2 and Hannalina just 1. I’m in clover as is Grandad!
He’s 3.
Aah, the trusting threes - he’s a dear looking little chap and I can imagine he makes your heart sing, Jane.
He does. I cared for him for two years and he stayed with me while his brother was born by C Section 6 weeks early and allowing his parents to be at the hospital. We forged a strong bond.
That wonderful bond will be there forever,
Thanks Celtic, I miss him.
At least these days we have FaceTime.
So adorable! I’m not lucky enough to be a Gramma, so get cheered up by pictures other grands post, also kitten videos. ❤️
4-legged friends are wonderful too, Mstiles- loveable companions. We’ve had so many dogs and cats over the years - at one time we had two golden retrievers together with a cat who produced three kittens. Such fun! Perhaps you can post a link to your favourite kitten video so that we can all enjoy?
I will see if my son can help me post one, need tech help! Yes 4-leggeds are wonderful, they don’t care how you look or if you are crabby. Cats in need seem to find me and also my son. Strays looking for a home. He has a beautiful Siamese that adopted him.
“they don’t care how you look or if you’re crabby”. I agree, and they seem to be so in tune with your feelings that they sense when you are sad and don’t leave your side. As for strays, our very last cat was found lost and wandering in the street, feeding from the refuse sacks when I was doing my evening walk to help my PMR. I brought her in and the amount of love she gave was amazing - amazing that she came when I was struggling with PMR and I just wonder how much my recovery was helped by her.
So adorable ,they are such a joy when you see them,my grandsons are all over twelve years old now but l have a gorgeous little great grandson ,he is nearly one year old and he certainly makes my day when l see him .
Stop showing of you. I still can't post a picture? How do you post to this site. ? Xx
I think you can only add a picture to a new thread post - not in the middle of a thread.
But how do you post a photo over to this website??
Lord only knows - who is it on the forum says she loves being a techie????
You need the photo to be in a gallery or album you can access easily. Post a message on the forum. It gives you the choice to post a photo. Click and it should give you options as to where you have the photo. Navigate to the photo and select it. It will appear in your post and you can upload post.
Ps I use smartphone and my photo albums and gallery are accessed via the "documents" choice when you click add photo.
You make it sound so easy. I'llet give it a go later.
Everything is easy once you kniw hiw to do it. It seems impossible until then. I would suggest writing key steps down because when you come to do it the instructions above won't be there.
Thank you for your indulgence everyone. Just felt like showing him off. Intermittent blizzards here in Yorkshire. 😢🌈
Was he thinking something cheeky? Looks like he’s planning something!
Very apt T shirt, ‘there is a light that never goes out’ Him to you, and you to him I suspect.
Hope you have shown the kids the snow in the garden today. A good few inches and has drifted this time. My dog came in covered after 2 mins.
Yes, I sent pictures, 3 of them have never seen snow and Theo probably can’t remember. It’s good Snowball and snowman snow- really dry, powdery and adhesive.
You got that right. Also the sun travels between us. They’ve got morning sun now.
Reminds me of when my 2 were littlies and off to cub camp or similar. I’d tell them if they were homesick to look at the moon, and I’d look at the moon too, that way we’d be connected.
It went hand in hand with our regular saying:
~ I love you to the moon.
~ I love you to the moon and back.
I love little boys
So do I. There is something so tender about them. I filled a small teddy with my love and left it with him on my last day. It had been in my bed with me all my visit. He said “ I will love him sooo much”,
Understandable! What an adorable face!
He's lovely!! A real treasure, I can understand how he must cheer you up!! We have no grandchildren yet, I envy my friends so much, who knows one day !! 😉😉😉😉
Very cute!
Lovely picture, lovely boy, no wonder you miss him! He won't forget though that time you spent together and that bond that was formed. Good that we can have face time and continue that contact. I've now got 7 grandchildren, ranging from 20 to 1, with twins due in April bringing the number up to 9!!! As an only child who had three children I find it amazing how a family grows. We are very blessed - they are all lovely - 6 boys and 1 girl!! The twins expected are a boy and a girl.
Very cute! Grands nourish our souls! Played with mine yesterday, Jonah 3 and Juliette 1. Left as soon as the crying started!😢
He cheers us all up!!!! what a beautiful boy! Leaving for Sweden in 2 weeks to see my two little guys.
I am heading to California in 11 days to see 2 of my children that I haven't seen for 8 months. Don't know if seeing them or being in the warm sunshine cheers me more. Booked the trip after a discouraging week of sickness. I needed something to look forward to.
My 3 year old granddaughter tells me she likes me and misses me. ( that might almost be better than love).
Nice post Jane❤️
When I am feeling glum I think of the Sun and stars, which are always shining above the clouds.
I go one further in that I consider we are all astronauts flying through space on the spaceship of ours. Don't think about that too much...i.e only gravity keeps us planted. 😂
In silver suits - it is the future. I can be obscure too. 🤩
Gorgeous....thank goodness for Skype and FaceTime hey? xxx
Thank you yes, at least we have that. He can boss me about from Australia. 🙃
