Yay! π
Excellent - are you now reducing?
Well done!
πππ great news!
Dance and be joyful... me too CRP is down this month from10 to 8 and ESR down from 5 to 3 so I too am dancing and cautiously celebrating. 1 year into the dis- ease and have managed to taper down to 2 mg per day and no aches or pains. Still struggeling with fatigue though. Still using lots of alternative treatments and supplements to support the healing x
Thatβs fabulous Mariemcdo πππ 2mg seems like a long way off but slowly slowly Iβve learned from the wise ones here π
Oh the fatigue is just nauseating. Very hard to handle - most days I just want to fall asleep at my desk.
Oh dear! Are you on a low dose of preds now? Is that why you are so tired? X
Have had to hand my notice in at school! Just can't do it any more too tired and exhausted.
Happy Happy dance!
Well done! Xx
Is your name really "All's Grand So...."? In any case, all is grand just now!
Take it slowly but surely. I'm tapering at 0.5mg per month now, after a flare this summer, when I had to increase my pred from 4mg to 10mg. It seems slow, but 1mg per month was obviously too fast for my PMR and my figures crept up. Keep an eye on them so you can nip any rise in the bud and remember the guide about not reducing your pred by more than 10% of the previous dose.
Best wishes.
Me: PMR 19 months on 7mg pred.
Yes allβs grand so is the name lol thanks for the good advice Rugger. Iβm very aware they could go back up if I move to fast. That must have been really annoying getting to 4 and then having to go back up to 10mg. I feel like Iβm better the past few weeks but still pacing myself as best I can. Hopefully it will pay off. Thanks for good advice x
Dancing with you! So good to hear your good news. I heard this afternoon my CRP is the same as yours, down from 75 in October on diagnosis of PMR, then to 24 so pred down from 15mg to 13mg for last fortnight. The fatigue is something other - so strange to feel capable of walking the length of the supermarket with eyes closed - but don't!!! Again, great news.
