Methotrexate

I took my first dose yesterday after lunch. I have had no side effects YIPPEE

Can I expect side effects as I take further doses or is my experience yesterday how it will be.

Not going to tell you to expect more side effects but you can definitely get side effects the longer you take it. I think I was only on it for a month before I couldn't do it anymore. My biggest complaint was mouth sores and even though my doctor upped my folic acid to help that problem it wasn't enough. But I have mouth issues anyway so that may be why it affected me that way. Make sure your doctor is checking your liver enzymes periodically. Because this drug will affect your liver and that was another reason I had to get off because my liver enzymes kept climbing up. Of course I was also on acetaphetamine and a couple other drugs that can affect the liver so those I'm sure had a contributing factor to my liver enzyme elevation. In any event I probably wouldn't have found that if I hadn't been on the Methotrexate and the doctor was testing my liver enzymes. But anyway I had to stop the Methotrexate and all acetaphetamine that I was taking as well as a muscle relaxer and a migraine pill. It has totally sucked
