Got a form for new Doctors
Thought that was a good idea to be able to see my own records and results. Had chest xray this week. Dr has put satisfactory as chest clear but on reading on it says I have an enlarged heart. How can he put satisfactory? ????? Will be on the phone -Monday......
Hi Chrissy, please don't worry I had an enlarged heart and a heart murmur discovered in my early 20's it was fully investigated and told it was a normal abnormality. Go away and forget about it carry on as you normally would they said. It has never been a problem but do check with your doc on Monday to make sure. All good wishes. π
Thanks CT. The last couple of appointments I have been telling him of my shortness of breath and sharp jaw pains. He felt my pulses in my temples I am assuming he was checking for GCA.
Only this time did he request an ECG. Has put normal on my notes, chest xray normal. Was wondering if he missed heart thing. Was running late on his surgery and felt rushed as he was obviously on catch up. Wouldn't have minded but I was his first patient and was kept waiting 15 mins while he did his paperwork.
Hoping this is a one of with him. Was very happy with him and I suppose I'm a bit shocked at reading about the heart thing.
So. Moral of this story is ... Having access to your records online is Ok as long as you are prepared at what you might find.π
Fingers crossed Ronzy. π€π»
Good for you Ronzy x
Good luck, Ronzy. Try to forget what's gone before at the old Practice and go in as calmly as you can, with the hope that you will be listened to sympathetically.
