Hip and thigh pains.

Hi everyone here,Im glad to be part of this great Community.I have been having pains in my hips for few weeks now.Have tried many medications like pain killers but no impressive result.Im thinking of taking Depo Medrol injection 40mg if it will work.Please enlighten me,if you have similar experience or know the solution to my problem.I have to get back to myself as soon as possible.Thank you.Olapeter

Welcome to this community. Do you have PMR or GCA? If so, what dose of prednisolone are you on? As it may be that your dosage is too low. Normal pain killers do not work on PMR pain. The experts will be along soon I am sure.

Have you got a diagnosis for the CAUSE of the hip pain? There are a lot of things it could be - not just PMR which is what we talk about here.

The real cause of the pain can not be detected.But I did an X-RAY and it shows my cartilage is weak which affects the hip socket.Thanks for your concern.
