2nd day of prednisone gave me intense thigh pain

I went to the ER a day ago because after I got out the shower I had tingly feeling in my leg up to the top of my knee, weakness behind the knee with a racing heartbeat. They prescribed 20mg prednisone twice a day because they think I have a swelling around a nerve on my left side near the hip.

I am on my 2nd day and now im experiencing intense left thigh pain. I didn't have any pain before the prescription so I'm worried. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you are probably in the wrong place here - we are a group using pred for a specific autoimmune disorder.

However - I think you really do need to discuss this with your GP or another doctor.
