Hi,

Hope everyone is as well as can be.

Just a quick question I have just been diagnosed with Morphea anyone know if it's related to my PMR.

Thank you in advance.

According to the Mayo clinic one cause may be immune system malfunction.

Hi Gypsylas, have you got both?

I believe everything we get is connected to our underlying health but there doesn't seem to be a scientific connection with the two conditions except the autoimmune angle. I may have read of a connection with Thyroid disorders somewhere.

My skin has produced odd warty things since I have had PMR.

I hope the outcome is good for you.

Hi Jane, yes I have both beennon Pred nesrly 4 year. The Dermatologist has given me some Enstilar spray so hopefully it will keep it at bay. Thanks for your advice much appreciated.

Gypsylass, although I haven't come across Morphea, I have seen some people who have red bruise-like areas on their arms and legs whilst on Prednisolone due to the blood-thinning effect of the steroids. Whatever it's cause, I do hope that your skin problem will improve as you reduce down through the steroids and towards remission.
