Good morning. I have PMR. More overweight than I would like. Then got diagnosed which added more weight. Plus of course moon face, hump back. Time to take control instead of it controlling me ! Off to my first aqau fit class this am. I'm 63 and not been in a pool since my children were small. Wish me luck :)

Aqua fit session achieved. Why didn't I get the courage to go before. Lovely people. So encouraging. Didn't feel large and clumsy at all. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Laughed so much at myself! Thought instructor wanted all to turn around ;) only to find myself facing everyone. AWKWARD! Ha ha. Roll on next week. Okay. Now when I got out all muscles felt heavy !! And I did feel slightly fuzzy headed. It soon passes and I wondered if it was the pred as I only took them an hour before I went. I am on 14mg started St 15 last sept. Feel great though :)

Just a word of encouragement for you. I too had the moon face. I wouldn't let anyone take photos of me; and I looked like a hamster. I didn't believe it when people said the moon face goes when you get to 10mg Pred, but it truly did for me. Hang on in there. You should get your normal face back.

Thanks for that NZShez. Hate my face and can't wait to get it back. It's the first thing you know that people notice about you. I really don't want to keep telling all that I have PMR and it's steroids. I know it's a process but hey ho We could have a lot worse. Going to keep up the aquafit and started low carbo diet to try and speed up things. And i'm hanging on in there.
