Was doing the dead slow wean got down to 17 mg doing well, bent over in the shower and put my back out now walking hunched over cannot stand up straight, went to pain management and will get two shots on Monday hopefully I will be able to stand up straight again I am just so tired of feeling badly

Sorry to hear that - I have bad back - more on than off - and it's almost more debilating than GCA at times! So I sympathise!

I have back problems in addition to the PMR part - one of the things that helped me a lot pre-pred was Bowen therapy. It isn't an open-ended commitment, if it hasn't helped in 3 sessions it probably won't and there isn't much reason to continue. Mind you, it is wonderfully relaxing - and some people keep going just for that alone. But possibly worth considering a trial?

I slipped a disc over thirty years ago and every now and then would find myself doubled up in pain. More recently I have been taking glucosamine and condroitin which seems to have had an amazing effect in my case. I hope I am not tempting fate by saying this.

If its worked this long you will most likely remain well. I have been good for 4 years and then oops bam I did it again! My family is enjoying the ribs and we have a lot of laughter over it but it really stinks. Hopefully I will be good for XMAS!

This is definitely a journey isn't it!! A journey none of us want to embark on or continue on, with twists and turns along the way. Do hope that after Monday you will start to feel a bit better. X
