Help ,settled on 10mg Pred but took a double dose today 20 mg, what is the future action ?....................

Having to battle with PMR/Prednisolone, Operation for Spinal Stenosis and now, abscess under rear upper tooth which takes me to the Hospital-referred by my Dentist-had a Zolendronic Acid infusion in March. Operation went well on 23rd Sept and today I had my first swim-250 mtrs- for a long time -No pain felt. But for once I got my Pill boxes mixed up -been on 10mg for some weeks whilst all this going on, and took 2 doses of 10mg-1x at 6.30 and 2nd at 9am.I do not wish to have slow reduction- and thinking of going back to 10mg tomorrow and taking it easy for the day! possibility some Pain killers also . What say you - please comment, John -try to be a young 80!

You're fine John - just go straight back to the normal dose! And enjoy probably feeling very well for 24 hours! Why do you need painkillers?

Thank you for your timely reply PMRpro which I read as you wrote. Very well, the swim went very very well, and I thought it was me and the Spine Op!- mind you I also noted that I was slightly agitated ,could not settle for 36hrs. The Pain Killers? thought my tooth and its abscess might react but not so. Let everything settle down and back to reducing - could do with a Holiday! John
